Celebrating the Lunar New Year with Care for the Planet

This Lunar New Year, let’s start our celebrations with care for tomorrow. Victoria Playpark (VPP) invites all little learners and their families to join our green mission through the Red Packet Recycling and Reuse Initiative.

Drop your red packets into VPP’s dedicated collection bins. Your contributions will be sent to an environmental non-profit organisation for recycling and reuse, bringing green energy to our community.

Small steps can create a big difference for our Earth — together, let’s turn festive joy into sustainable action.

A heartfelt thank you to Victoria Educational Organisation’s Principals — Ms. Debbie Cheng (VEO Harbour Heights), Ms. Lesley Wong (VEO Lower Kornhill), and Ms. Gabriel Li (Early Childhood) — for guiding us through the core aspects of a smooth school transition during the recent Victoria Playpark Sharing Session.

They highlighted that language proficiency, curiosity, and an innovative mindset are key to holistic development. Parents explored practical ways to nurture essential skills, build confidence and independence, and lay a strong trilingual foundation in English, Putonghua, and Cantonese. All these steps empower children to learn and flourish in a new environment!

A heartfelt thank you to Victoria Educational Organisation’s Principals — Ms. Blanche Kwok (VEO Homantin), Ms. Cathin Wong (VEO Middle Kornhill), and Ms. Gabriel Li, Principal (Early Childhood) — for their inspiring contributions during our recent Sharing Session.

They reminded us that the first three years of life are a magical time when every experience helps shape a child’s learning and growth. Through play-based, multilingual environments and close parent-child connections, little ones can develop curiosity, confidence, and independence.

A New Chapter Begins: Parent-Child Reading Scheme Launches January 2026

Ready to embark on a reading adventure with your little one?

Early reading with parents creates magical moments that nurture curiosity and creativity. When parents read aloud and children explore pictures, it encourages shared reading, warm interactions, and meaningful conversations. This not only expands vocabulary but also sparks a lifelong love for books while strengthening the parent-child bond.

To support language development and literacy skills, Victoria Playpark (VPP) invites families of Toddler and Big Kid classes to join our Parent-Child Reading Scheme, starting this January. For further details about the scheme, please feel free to reach out to our Centre.

Parent-Child Reading Scheme Highlights:

  • Over 1,000 age-appropriate books thoughtfully selected by our professional teaching team.
  • Value-driven stories categorised under Love, Reflection, Action, and Joy, aligning with Victoria Education Organisation’s Values Education approach.
  • Parent-child reading tips from VPP featured in each book.
  • Fun Extended activities beyond reading to inspire children’s creativity and exploration.

Let’s grow together through the power of stories!
