Share the Joy of Reading with Children’s Book Donation

VPP teachers introduced our young learners to a special book donation drive by the non-profit social enterprise ‘ReBooked’ during a storytelling session. This meaningful community service project, as part of the Victoria Educational Organisation (VEO)’s 60th anniversary celebration, reflects the shared commitment of VPP and VEO to nurturing socially responsible learners from early years.

Our young readers were excited to give their beloved books a new home, spreading the joy of reading and inspiring others through their thoughtful contributions. 📚❤️

Parents Learnt to Tackle Separation Anxiety with Music!

Music therapist from Humansa, Carol Cheung, shared creative techniques to ease children’s separation anxiety at a recent parent workshop. She recommended composing and singing personalised songs with lyrics reflecting parents’ plans to temporarily leave, to help children understand goodbyes don’t have to be unpleasant.

A VPP alumnus and current VEO parent also joined to share her experiences helping her child adjust to kindergarten. Other parents openly discussed their own challenges and were reassured effective solutions exist.

Stay tuned for more insightful workshops ahead!

Dive into an Immersive Parent-Child Workshop at the Dental Clinic! 🦷

In our April theme, “People We See in Our World,” our PN/K1 Preparation class students, along with their parents, embarked on a fun trip to the dentist clinic!

Dressed in mini-white coats, our curious learners wanted to learn all about what happens at the dentist workplace! Not only did they tour around the clinic to take a look at the equipment and tools, but they also received brief dental check-ups from the skilled professionals and learned proper tooth brushing, while parents received dental care tips tailored for young children!

Such immersive, real-life experiences are invaluable for children’s development, shaping their understanding of health and wellbeing from an early age. Join us for more parent-child learning experiences in the future!
